The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California aged 55.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The influential industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and caught fire on a motorway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, those closest to him, and all those touched by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
